UBORA Means Excellence.
For more than 25 years, Perimeter Church has walked alongside UBORA Tanzania. The partnership began as a ministry to widows during the HIV/AIDS crisis. It has grown into a Christ-centered Leadership Formation Pathway that develops Tanzanian children with limited access to opportunity into servant leaders, from education through career launch, equipped to transform Tanzania from within. The people the pathway forms are called UBORA Ambassadors. Dr. Glory Andrew is one of them.
Shaping Hearts and Minds
Glory grew up in the shadow of Mount Kilimanjaro, in a family with limited access to opportunity. Her foundation began at UBORA Leadership School. There she found an education that went beyond academics, and a place where she was known, challenged, and encouraged to become all she was created to be. Her UBORA sponsorship, made possible through Perimeter Church, carried her from primary school onward. Each stage built on the last.
Building Servant Leaders
As Glory grew, her faith grew with her. It wasn't always easy, and she doesn't pretend otherwise. "It was not easy," she says. "From primary school to here I am." She credits her perseverance to God: "He fought my battles." Education gave her knowledge. Discipleship shaped who she was becoming.
Launching UBORA Ambassadors
After graduating from college, Glory met the mentor, Cindy James, a board member of UBORA, who helped her turn years of education and formation into a calling. Her mentor invested in her spiritually, guided her in business, and walked alongside her as she pursued medicine.
Today, Glory is a doctor. For her, the title was never the point. "Becoming a doctor was not about money or earning a title," she says. "It was me transforming my community through my hands and my skills, by saving people's lives."
That is servant leadership as UBORA defines it. It isn't about title, position, or recognition. It is about serving first and using your gifts to strengthen your family, your community, and your nation. "I want to thank Perimeter Church and Perimeter School for your support and your provision," she says. "I am so grateful. May God bless you abundantly."
Glory's journey began with access to one opportunity: education. Today, she is multiplying that impact, one patient at a time.
